Our Programs

From Survive to Thrive

For IDF veterans, trying to heal in Israel—the very environment that caused their trauma—is nearly impossible. Many need to step back from Israel to break free from survival mode but don't have the means.

Internships

and Personal Focus Projects

For Israeli Veterans, 3-6 Months Long

10-14 Days Long

The highlight of our retreats is the work retreats, where a group of veterans comes together to complete a meaningful project on the farm. Alongside the satisfaction of hands-on work, participants enjoy relaxing amenities like a sauna and jacuzzi, delicious meals, and the calming presence of nature.

The retreats are designed to help veterans move "from survive to thrive"—providing a chance to step away from the pressures of daily life in Israel, allowing their nervous systems to reset, and transitioning from a state of survival to one of growth and renewal.

Employment Opportunities

for American Veterans

One of the most difficult challenges for veterans living with PTSD is finding and maintaining a job. At Zamrudah Farm, we provide tailored employment opportunities and training in

  • local Agrotourism

  • restaurant and hospitality

  • events production.

These fields not only offer valuable work experience for veterans but also help us achieve our goal of financial independence within 4 years. We plan to capitalize on the Shawnee Hills Wine Trail to attract local and regional visitors, maximizing the farm's business potential.

The cornerstone of our program, offering an experience unlike anything else available.

Our internships are personalized, designed to provide hands-on professional training in all aspects of regenerative farming:

  • Winemaking

  • Sustainable farming

  • Innovation and land development

  • Event planning and farm management

This slower pace of agricultural work contrasts with the fast-paced modern life, allowing participants to find internal balance and connection to the land and the rhythms of the seasons.

Retreats

Our goal is to provide practical work experience, and to inspire confidence.

Graduates will remain part of the Zamrudah community, benefiting from ongoing mentorship and support.

They will also have the opportunity to apply for grants to help launch their ventures.
